Vehicle emission notices

Under the Environmental Protection Act 1986, notices can be served on a certain persons in relation to the emissions from vehicles and vessels. These notices can require the person served to supply certain information or to require the person to present the vehicle or vessel for inspection so that its emissions can be tested. A person served with a notice in respect of a vehicle or vessel may lodge an appeal as follows:
